    Greetings from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), your Alma Mater!
    I am a student/teacher at School of ------ / Department of ------  with USTC. As a volunteer for the 50th Anniversary Celebration of USTC, I am very pleased to be responsible for keeping contact with the alumni of ------, where you have conducted studies. Your support is appreciated. Please forgive me for taking the liberty to disturb you.
    Our Alma Mater will celebrate her Golden Anniversary in 2008. In order to convey the Alma Mater’s loving care for her alumni and mobilize more alumni for participation in the Celebration, USTC initiates “Greetings to Alumni Action” for collecting the information of our alumni. After the Action is completed, the University will establish a database of alumni information which they can update their own information, offering service for the alumni. Meanwhile, USTC will also circulate development situation to her alumni in time, convey greetings from the Alma Mater, and constantly heed the opinions and proposals of the alumni for construction of the University.
    At present, USTC graduates of all previous years are over 1200 classes. I am honored to collect the information for the address list of the class where you were. It is both honor and fate to communicate with and learn from you. I cherish this opportunity and seek your support.
    Based on the information I collected and found out in recent days, the contact information of yours and some other alumni is incomplete. Attached please find the list. Your assistance is earnestly requested for providing the information of your own and your alumni you know to me. Please send the basic information such as your name, the institution you are affiliated with and the contact information to me. You may refer to the attachment for it is relatively complete entering format for the alumni information. Complete information is beneficial not only for the contact between USTC and her alumni, but also for the communication among the alumni in the future.
